I s Kubernetes a buzzword or an accelerator for virtualisation? Does this help organisations to streamline the process of deployments? What does it take to run the k8s cluster locally? Is it possible, or am I too ambitious? I have been haunted by this thought for quite a long time.

In a quest to quench my tech thirst and to see how Kubernetes works without the need for fancy tools to set up your CI/CD pipeline on a local machine, I started to search google. The Internet has a plethora of knowledge distributed across blogs/articles/StackOverflow.

The purpose of this article is to summarise the distributed knowledge and to allow the readers to help in running Kubernetes on a Mac with local docker images.

To make peace with my internal struggle, I decided to configure Kubernetes on my local machine and share my learnings as a series of Posts which will help you to understand the concepts.
